Your initial appointment
What to expect as a new patient of Mr Pavi Agrawal:
What should I bring to my appointment?
Your Medical Card
Your private health insurance details if you have them
A copy of your referral letter from your optometrist or GP if you have it.
Your current pairs of glasses or glasses prescription.
Useful information about diabetes, sugar levels and any blood thinners you may be taking are helpful, as well as any previous scans or imaging procedures you have had.
Any eye drops that you are currently taking.
How long will I be at the clinic?
Mr Agrawal highly values your time and minimising patient wait time is very important to him. That said, you will need to have vision and pressure checks, and may require multiple tests in the clinic. Expect to be at the clinic for 1-2 hours, or longer if you require dilating drops. It is a good idea to not plan on driving home in case you are dilated. This will certainly be the case for initial appointments.
Will I get a report from my appointment?
Mr Agrawal will routinely send a detailed report to yourself, your optometrist and your general practitioner after the appointment.
I am uninsured, can I still see Mr Agrawal?
Mr Agrawal is always happy to see uninsured patients. For your peace of mind, his team will provide a full and open estimate of fees before any procedure.
